La Farga to participate in the electrification of freight corridor in India

La Farga has signed with Alstom the contract to supply the copper conductors, mainly alloys, which will be installed in the catenary as part of the electrification project of the Eastern Dedicated Freight Corridor in India.

This project is part of a program that is expected to create a total of seven corridors with more than 10,000 km of electrification, making it the most important goods network in the world.

The corridor consists of 343 km of double-track and links Bhaupur to Khurja. The project will require 2,000 km of railway product conductors.
