DF Rail signs agreement with Algeria for manufacturing of railway equipment



DF Rail, part of the Duro Felguera Group, has signed an agreement with public company Infrafer for the manufacturing of railway equipment in Algeria.

The collaboration agreement aims to set up a joint company for the construction and operation of a plant for railway equipment, to which DF Rail will contribute its technology and broad experience in the field of engineering and manufacturing of this equipment.

Algeria has started an ambitious expansion programme for its railway network, and plans to build 12,000 km by 2025. At the moment projects are already underway to build up to 5,500 km of line.
