The Spanish company leads a consortium with two local partners, ICT and Barsyl. This consortium will supervise the contracts of the projects and the execution of the work on the final section of the new Eastern Dedicated Freight Corridor, a line of more than 1,800 km in length which is dedicated to freight transport and will cover the entire north-east region of the country.

The consortium will work on a 46 km-long section of electrified double line between the cities of Khurja and Dadri, located to the east of Delhi, in the state of Uttar Pradesh. The project will last for three years.

The Eastern Dedicated Freight Corridor, which will join two other corridors planned for other areas in the country, is funded by the World Bank and will increase the system’s cargo transport capacity, mainly of raw materials.
