Typsa to participate in draft projects for Birmingham-Manchester-Leeds high speed line



Typsa is part of the consortium that has been awarded one of the three batches of the draft civil engineering and environmental studies for the high-speed connection between Birmingham, Manchester and Leeds, in the north of England.

The contract awarded to the consortium which Typsa is part of amounts to 120 million pounds (about 140 million euros). This consortium, led by British firm Arup, comprises engineering companies Foster and Partners (also British) and the American Jacobs; the Danish firm Ramboll; the British firm ERM, specialising in the environment; and the British construction company Costain, which is involved in the analysis of the constructability of the project.

Typsa is also bidding for the project contract and work on the high-speed line that will link London and Birmingham, as part of the SCS consortium formed by Swedish firm Skanska, Costain and the Austrian firm Strabag, together with engineering firms Strabag ZT and Arup.
