The project, led by ACS Group’s subsidiary Semi, includes 14 substations. La Farga will supply the copper alloy conductors, which will be delivered over the next 5 years.

The 1,080 kilometres of catenary will run on a 420 kilometre stretch, in which there are sections where there are two, four or even five tracks. The project is part of an electrification programme promoted by the Israeli government that, with an investment of 3,400 million euros, aims to encourage high speed in the country and electrify all the lines.
