Thales Spain deploys a mock-up for the integration and validation of the systems of Mexico-Toluca rail project

(13/07/2017)

The mock-up includes a sample of the telecommunications systems based on fibre optic data transmission, multi-service network, GSM-R, broadband radio, closed-circuit television, telephony, audio recording, intercom system, public address system and passenger information system, master clock, access control, supervision and control of the safety systems and the Logbook and Master Controller system.

The use of this mock-up will allow Thales to speed up the installation and testing of all the systems in the deployment and commissioning stage, thus reducing times in the final stages of the project.

This is the first project to implement the ETCS Level 2 technology in America. The line will have a system based on electronic interlocking, ETCS Level 2 as well as Automatic Train Protection (ATP) system, field elements (axle counters, point mechanisms, signals, Eurobalises) UPS and auxiliary detectors (falling object and hot box detectors).
