Bombardier will supply 83 Regio 2N trains with Spanish traction equipment in France

(28/07/2017)

The traction converters and auxiliary converters of these 83 Regio 2N trains will be manufactured at Bombardier’s factory in Trápaga. These converters, which mean a special development for this type of double-deck train aimed at the French market, are fitted on the roof and adapted to trains with a maximum speed of 200 km/h.

The trains, whose operation by the French Railways (SNCF) is scheduled to start at the end of 2019 on Line N as well as on portions of the RER D line, belong to Bombardier Omneo double deck platform and offer space for 1,000 passengers. With these 83 additional trains, the STIF will have a substantial fleet of 125 Regio 2N.
