Madrid to host 6th edition of conference and trade exhibition “Next Station 2017”

On 19-21 October 2017 Madrid will host the 6th edition of the conference and trade exhibition “Next Station”, which is organised by Adif and UIC under the main theme “Smart Stations in Smart Cities”. Enrolment period is open until early October.

This meeting has been previously held in Rome, Paris, Brussels, Moscow and Marrakesh, the latter being in 2015. The conference will be composed of two plenary sessions (opening and closing), two round tables and eight technical sessions on specific themes.

In addition, there will be an exhibition space of 420 square metres and a series of technical visits will be made to the stations of Madrid Puerta de Atocha and Málaga María Zambrano, as well as to the city of Toledo, including its station and historic quarter.

The conference will address many topics from low emission technologies, competitiveness, innovation, Big Data, governance, accessibility and intermodality, to business development, security, urban integration and social networks.
