The committee will have technical workshops open to main partners and associate members on Monday 21 and Tuesday 22, and sessions reserved for metro and rail operators on Wednesday 23 and Thursday 24. Furthermore, Metro de Madrid, host of the committee, has scheduled technical visits to its Control Centre, its Centre for Maintenance Operations and Monitoring of Installations, and its Metro Ligero 1 (Light Rail Line 1) facilities.
The first two days will cover topics like public-private experiences for the development of Metros with the cases of São Paulo, Porto, Lima and Madrid, as well as the approach of the private suppliers from the point of view of the technical, financial and institutional collaboration.
In the two days dedicated to operators, sessions will focus on maintenance, technologies, transport authorities, service contracts, control centres, network extensions, climate change, smart cities, different aspects of service and economic efficiency of operation, safety and light rail experiences.
