Alstom Spain to supply 17 Metropolis trains for Singapore Metro



Singapore Land Transport Authority (LTA) has awarded Alstom the contract for the supply of 17 driverless trains for the Asian city’s metro system.

The contract value is about 150 million euros and involves the supply of six 6-car Metropolis trains and 11 three-car Metropolis trains for the extensions of Singapore Metro’s Circle Line (CCL) and North East Line (NEL).

All trains will be manufactured at Alstom’s industrial site in Santa Perpetua de Mogoda (Barcelona). Alstom also provides maintenance training to operators and supplies spare parts for these trains.
