This second stage consisted of 50,000 km of trials on both conventional and international gauge track with maximum load and at the maximum authorized speed. 38,900 km took place on conventional gauge and 11,200 km on international gauge to be precise, in addition to continuing with gauge change manoeuvres.

These trials, alongside those carried out in the first stage, total over 100,000 km, a record in accreditation of an axle of these characteristics. The project will undergo the third and final stage of tests in the coming weeks. These tests will consist of 150,000 km on both track gauges, again with maximum authorized load and speed.
