Cultural cooperation agreement between Madrid and Shanghai metro networks



Metro de Madrid and Shanghai Metro have signed an agreement establishing a cultural cooperation programme that involves photography exhibitions on each other's facilities in order to promote urban development and cultural traditions of both cities.

Plaza de Castilla station is already holding an exhibition showing Shanghai Metro’s network facilities through the display of photographs. Shanghai Metro has 395 stations on its 673 km of network and provides service to 10 million daily users.


Metro de Madrid has in turn provided photographs of its stations, rolling stock and passengers to be exhibited at East Nanjing Road, one of the main central stations of Shanghai Metro. The display also shows the large offer of Madrid's leisure, food and shopping options.
