Within the framework of this 6-year agreement, Renfe will provide advice on the possible development of a new suburban line between the capital city, San Salvador, and the Sitio del Niño canton, belonging to San Juan Opico municipality.

Additionally, the operator plans other general collaboration areas with CEPA, such as the feasibility of new railway routes, planning and design of rail passenger and freight services, maintenance and modernisation of rolling stock, operation safety or training in different fields.
