Talgo announces potential sites for its UK factory




Talgo has announced the potential sites for its future factory in the United Kingdom, particularly in England or Wales, where it could employ up to one thousand people.

The sites on which Talgo will decide in November are Chesterfield, Saint Helens and Leeds in England, and Mostyn in north Wales, to which one more will soon be added in Scotland.

Talgo is among the shortlisted companies to supply the 54 trains for the High Speed 2 (HS2) project (see piece of news), and it has shown interest for the supply of rolling stock for East Midlands and West Coast as well as for the Cross Country franchise.
