CAF has been awarded two maintenance contracts in Saudi Arabia by Saudi Railways Organization (SRO) and Saudi Railway Company (SAR).

(27/02/2019)

In the case of SRO, the contract involves the maintenance of 12 push-pull units which serve the Riyadh-Dammam line.

In the case of SAR, six units of the same type that serve the Riyadh-Qurayyat line will be maintained. The term of each contract will be three years, both contracts expanding on the operations already performed since the commissioning of these units up to now.

The SRO units were supplied by CAF pursuant to a contract signed in 2008 for the supply of eight units, which was subsequently extended with four additional units. In 2012, CAF entered into an agreement with SAR to supply six units.
