The ETR 500 trains to be maintained by CAF operate the Turin-Milan-Salerno high-speed line, where they can reach speeds of up to 300 km/h, linking the cities of Turin, Milan, Reggio Emilia, Bologna, Florence, Rome, Naples and Salerno, all located on that line. These trains also offer services to other destinations such as Padua, Venice, Rimini, Ancona, Pescara, Foggia and Bari.

The maintenance covered by this contract will be mainly carried out in Trenitalia’s high speed workshops in Naples and Milan, as well as in the operator's facilities in Venice and Rome. The project will involve the employment of over 300 people who will join CAF Italia’s staff.
