Sacyr to build station for São Paulo Metro



Sacyr Engineering and Infrastructures has been awarded the contract for the construction of the new Jardim Colonial station on Line 15 (Silver line) of São Paulo Metro in Brazil.

The project is valued at 62.2 million Brazilian reais (around 14.5 million euros) and will have a period of execution of 24 months. The new station will allow completing the 15-Silver Line of a monorail that has the capacity to transport 400,000 people a day.

The contract includes the execution of the civil works of the station and support buildings, visual communication, landscaping, lighting, two kilometres of bike path and the urbanization and adaptation of the road system in the section between the São Mateus and Jardim Colonial stations.

The new station will have nine escalators and four elevators, and a built area of 5,974 square metres spread over six floors with access areas and technical facilities.
