The agreement will facilitate and promote the advice, exchange and transfer of knowledge of the Spanish railway sector in order to apply it to Central America’s rail infrastructure plans.

The purpose of this agreement is to establish general lines of collaboration between the Association and the Bank to promote and support the internationalisation of the Spanish railway sector, as well as to encourage collaboration in innovation and competitive improvement between the companies associated with Mafex, the actual association and both entities.

Among the infrastructure development plans, the Central American Bank for Economic Integration aims to promote efficient railway transport in Central American countries.
