Bombardier Spain modernizes signalling system for Lima Metro




Bombardier Spain has upgraded its Cityflo 350 signalling system installed on Line 1 of Lima Metro, which is 32 kilometres long, in order to improve both the frequency of trains at peak times and the capacity of the line.

The Rail Control Solutions team from the Centre of Excellence in signalling systems located in Madrid was responsible for the project management, product engineering and supply chain management.

The project includes the development of a new software optimized and adapted to the characteristics of the operator; the installation of new switches, track circuits, signals, beacons, etc.; the supply of the on-board signalling equipment of a fleet of 20 trains and training in operation and maintenance.
