74,000 tons of steel, 93,000 cubic meters of concrete and 25,000 tons of asphalt were used for the work, which took less than four years. The length of the cable-stayed construction reaches 364 meters, while the bridge’s total length accounts for 529 meters excluding the approach viaducts.

The deck of the bridge consists of eight car lanes and an urban railway line, which ACS is also building. The company has also carried out the entire proximity infrastructure and the realignment of the adjacent highway sections.

Champlain Bridge is considered one of the main East access points to Montreal Island as well as one of the main routes for trade exchange between the United States and Canada. The consortium where ACS participates, which is also formed by Iridium, Hochtief PPP Solutions, Dragados and Flatiron, will operate the route for 30 years.
