Airtificial to supervise operation and maintenance of lines in Colombia




Airtificial, in a consortium divided equally with Colombia’s National Infrastructure Agency (ANI), has signed a contract for the control and supervision of load operations and passenger transport, as well as for the maintenance of two sections of railway track in Colombia.

Airtificial will supervise La Dorada-Chiriguaná and Bogotá-Belencito sections for one year and the amount of 1.5 million euros. The awarded sections have a combined length of 877 kilometres. In addition, the company will be responsible for the control of traffic on the sections on which over 62 tonnes of load were carried and 350,000 passengers transported in the past year.

The 54 people employed for this project will supervise the operations in the loading and unloading points, as well as the management, upkeep and maintenance of rolling stock.

The Spanish listed technological company Airtificial, specialized in artificial intelligence, has developed the first Hyperloop capsule for passenger transport and it is currently working on the construction of the second capsule, as well as in the manufacture and assembly of a section of tube for the traffic of vehicles. For Santiago Metro in Chile, the company produced ramps to access the cars on which artificial intelligence is applied through some robotic arms.
