This extension amounts to approximately €60 million, and was already considered in the framework contract initially entered into by both companies in 2016. The six-car vehicles will be operated by the company Azienda Napoletana Mobilità (ANM).
Naples is the most densely populated city in the south of Italy, with approximately 3 million inhabitants residing in the metropolitan area, and has a metro network with two lines (1 and 6).
