Under the agreement, Bane NOR and Adif can broaden their collaboration on training personnel, consulting services, technical visits and mutual technological assistance, among other aspects. The collaboration between Bane NOR and Adif will be based on an exchange of experience that helps both railway managers meet their customers’ expectations and that results in improved services and products.
Among other things, this agreement makes it easier to put experts from both countries in contact with each other. The Norwegian infrastructure manager states that there are certain areas in which Bane NOR has a lot to learn from Adif, e.g. ERTMS signalling system, where Spain has one of the largest networks in Europe.
As far as Bane NOR is concerned, it can offer its experience on fields such us construction of tunnels, environmental engagements, BIM (Building Information Modelling) systems, the liberalisation of the railway sector or how to operate railway networks in extreme weather conditions, all of them of great interest to Adif.
