 More than 550 Spanish local councils have registered in total, which is over 18% of the European participation. The week closed with 2,200 quality permanent measures, 160 Golden cities and 160 municipalities that meet all three of the participation criteria (carry out a week of activities promoting sustainable mobility, implement at least one permanent measure and hold a car-free day), which allows them to apply for the European Mobility Week Award.


Spain also stands out for its involvement with different social groups, which has resulted in a high number of mobility actions or good practices in sustainable mobility. A total of 217 good practices promoted by companies, associations, organisations and institutions have been registered.
