Madrid to host Transport Infrastructure International Forum in May



On 26-28 May, Ifema, the Trade Fair Institution of Madrid, will host the Transport Infrastructure International Forum (TIIF), a business event involving all the sectors related to planning, design, execution and management of transport infrastructure.

The event will be attended by 40 international authorities and over 400 representatives from 12 invited countries. Divided into several themed areas, the event will offer a program with presentations by more than 60 speakers as well as 20 round tables.

In the field of sustainability, TIIF will address the compatibility of the need of resources for transport infrastructure, adapting the SDGs to the UN, with the challenges of resilience and climate change, new environmental demands, prediction of natural disasters or the socio-economic impact of the new infrastructures in developing countries.

Another topic to be covered will be the technological development and digital transformation and their effects on the transformation of the transport industry. The application of technology trends such as Industry 4.0, Artificial intelligence, Big Data, the Internet of Things, Digitization or Automation can drastically change the way passengers and goods are carried.
