(20/03/2020)

The course is part of the agreement signed by both institutions in February 2019, which came to fruition with the UITP Innovation and Training Centre, the first of the Association that operates in Spain and the third in Europe.

The centre is focused on the study, dissemination and organization of projects and innovation tools to improve competitiveness, efficiency, safety and sustainability of the public transport sector via the new technologies. In addition, it promotes training in the public transport industry, offering the experience of the Consortium as a benchmark of a model of functional integration.

Course

The course on Public Transport Fundamentals, the second organised by the Consortium and the UITP as part of its collaboration agreement, brought together in Madrid and for three days representatives from different transport authorities and Spanish and Ibero-American operators.

On this course, experts with broad experience in the field addressed topics such as the need for public transport, the mobility trends, new models of combined mobility, models of regulation and financing of public transport, ticketing and information technology and marketing.
