This income breaks down into 311 million dollars as consultancy and monitoring of the infrastructure during the phase of design and construction, which will extend until 2026, and 5,611 million dollars more between 2026 and 2042, a period in which Renfe will be in charge of the operation and maintenance of the line.

The Spanish operator has already signed a preliminary agreement, whose contract is currently being drawn up, that will tie Renfe to the largest private capital railway operator in the world, Texas Central, until 2042. The team of Renfe of America, society created for the development of this and other projects in the American continent, works in the consultancy phase of the line since 2019.

The Italian construction firm Salini Impregilo will be in charge of building the infrastructure, which expects to have it ready in six years. Subsequently, Renfe will be in charge of the maintenance and operation of the trains between both Texan cities from 2026 to 2042.

The private consortium Texas Central could also consider extending the high-speed line to the cities of Austin and San Antonio, with the possibility of expanding the collaboration between both companies.

The high-speed train between Houston and Dallas/Fort Worth is the first ever in the United States and will connect these two cities, which are 386 kilometres away from each other, in less than 90 minutes. In addition to the Dallas/Fort Worth and Houston stations, it will have an intermediate station in Brazos Valley and all of them will be connected to the motorway network and public transport systems, and they will have large parking areas.
