Ineco and Ardanuy are awarded new contract for Rail Baltica project

(24/04/2020)

The contract involves the design and supervision of a 94-km standard gauge rail section linking the city of Vangaži, to the northwest of Riga, with the Estonian border. The section includes 13 bridges, 36 road viaducts and three railway viaducts, among other works.

This connection is part of the Rail Baltica project, which aims to link Estonia, Latvia and Lithuania through a high-speed line that will subsequently connect with the rest of Europe via Poland and Finland. The line will cover 870 kilometres across the three republics and will require an investment of 5,800 million Euros, creating about 36,000 new jobs.
