Idom is awarded project for a 45 km section of Rail Baltica




Idom has been awarded the project for a new 45 km section of Rail Baltica in Latvia, from the Misa river, south of Riga, to the border with Lithuania.

(12/05/2020)  The stretch includes four railway bridges, 16 road viaducts and another four railway viaducts, in addition to 54 culverts and an animal crossing. The scope of the contract includes value engineering, master design, development of the detailed technical design and site investigations, as well as author supervision during the entire construction phase.

Since 2019, Idom has been developing five projects (344 kilometres of high-performance rail with a design speed of 249 km/h.) in Rail Baltica, which will connect Lithuania, Latvia and Estonia, Poland and, indirectly, Finland with the current European rail network.
