Mafex online conference with three UK universities from UKRRIN network

On March 2 and 3, Mafex held the online conference “Rail Sector Challenges: UK-Spain Summit”, which included the participation of three universities from the United Kingdom that are members of the UKRRIN network. The UK Rail Research and Innovation Network (UKRRIN) is formed by Centres of Excellence in collaboration with the industry and Innovation Centres, and is aimed at supporting the development of new technologies and products.

The conference presented the innovation activity led by University of Birmingham on its Centre of Excellence in Digital Systems; the activity led by University of Huddersfield on its Centre of Excellence in Rolling Stock; the one by University of Southampton on its Centre of Excellence in Infrastructure; and the innovation challenges posed by the railway sector in the United Kingdom.

The companies participating in the conference presented their technological solutions in connection with three areas: Digital Systems, Rolling Stock and Infrastructure.
