Works, on which Ineco collaborates with Network Rail Consulting, Acmena and The Go-Ahead Group, will last until June 2024 and will allow the network to significantly increase its capacity and be able to absorb future demand. This project is part of the Digital Systems Program for the transition of the signalling to ETCS Level 2 for Sydney Trains, manager and operator of the suburban rail network in the city of Sydney.

The main activities Ineco will work on are the supervision of the design of the systems developed by the different technology suppliers (ETCS road and on-board, traffic management system and fixed and mobile communications), definition and development of operational standards and system integration tests; support for commissioning; and technical advice.
