The agreement signed with the Rail Baltica joint venture, RB Rail AS, appoints Idom as the energy engineer. This company will be providing the engineering, consulting and FIDIC engineer services for the overall management and execution of the line’s energy systems deployment process across the Baltic States. This will encompass two phases: the Works Preparatory Phase (Phase I) and the Works Implementation Phase and Defects Notification Period (Phase II). The project will run for approximately 10 years.
Idom has been working in Rail Baltica since 2019, developing six contracts to carry out the construction design and design supervision during construction in 393 kilometres of track. These include the sections of Tallinn-Rapla and Pärnu-Rapla in Estonia, the main line through Riga and Mass-Lithuanian Border in Latvia, and Kaunas-Ramygala and Ramygala-Latvian Border in Lithuania.
