European Commission selects three cross-border railway projects in Spain



The European Commission has selected ten cross-border railway projects to improve cross-border rail connections across the European Union, among which three involve connections with Spain.

The first of these three selected projects which involve rail connections with Spain is the European Sleeper project to run a new night train service from Amsterdam to Barcelona. Added to this are the proposal from Iryo to launch new services from Lisbon to A Coruña and from Lisbon to Madrid, and the one from Ferrocarrils de la Generalitat de Catalunya (FGC) to connect Catalonia and the south of France.
