This additional order will double the initial Talgo fleet, the first eight trains, with trains featuring a higher seating capacity than the original ones. With a top commercial speed of 200 km/h, the Talgo 230 trains will feature a larger width than standard cars, which will allow for more generous interior space and higher passenger comfort.
With the eight additional trains, DSB will contribute to Denmark’s sustainability plans, a country which has committed to reduce its carbon emissions by a 70% below 1990 levels before 2030, and to become carbon neutral no later than 2050.
