The first session of 2023 of the Mafex International Markets Forum, which has had more than fifty attendees, has focused on Italy, a country that the association considers key for the Spanish railway sector due to business opportunities.

During the opening of the conference, the strategic relevance of the railway sector for the Italian economy and its importance within the investments linked to Mission 3 of the National Recovery and Resilience Plan (NRRP) called ‘Italy Tomorrow’ was highlighted.
For Mafex, this country ‘is a key market and offers great business opportunities for Spanish companies, thanks to the transformation process that it is undergoing with the reforms and investments associated with the funds of the European Union’.
In the forum, the report ‘Focus On Italy’ and the opportunities that the Italian market holds for Mafex partners were presented, and the main keys to the liberalization process that rail services are going through in this country were also reviewed.
