After the first period of consolidation with operations from Friday to Monday, Renfe has increased the frequency of this international line. With this expansion the options to travel between Spain and France in Renfe’s AVE trains are strengthened.
According to the announced agenda, during the month of September there are 21 trains at the passengers’ disposal, a number that includes the services to Lyon and Marseille. In addition, this second international route will also increase to daily on October 1, offering a total of 28 trains a week between Spain and France.
Advances
Renfe’s entry into the French market has been phased. In the first month and a half of the beginning of operations, a high level of demand has been recorded, with an average rate exceeding 80 percent and trains full on key dates.
