The project was conceived to raise awareness among pedestrians and drivers about the specific risks of level crossings and to inform about how to cross them through workshops with schoolchildren and dialogue with professionals, as well as audiovisual materials such as videos, infographics, podcasts, etc. Funded by Ofesauto’s Social Initiatives 2022, the project is a contribution to the goal of zero road traffic accidents and fatalities.

‘Paxando a Nivel’ was designed as a living project, with tools to make a positive impact on people’s actions and habits, preventing risky behaviour and informing on how to be safe at level crossings. Another milestone of the project was the pioneering collaboration between sectors such as rail, road, education and associations.
