The fourteen new units ordered from CAF will be used for operation on sections D, E2, F and G of Palermo’s tram network, the construction of which will soon be put out to tender.

This order is in addition to the nine trains that were ordered in July 2023. The contract, awarded to the Italian construction company Sis Scpa and CAF, included the project for the construction of lines A, B and C of Palermo tram network as well as the supply of the vehicles necessary for the provision of services. In also included an option to increase this supply by up to 35 additional units.
