The Basque Autonomous Community is committed to digitalisation in order to accelerate decarbonisation, resilience and modernisation of the entire mobility system. To this end, a digital twin of mobility is being developed, as well as the MovEuskadi application, which already has more than 13,500 registered users.

In terms of sustainable mobility, the future digital twin of mobility in the Basque Country is being developed. This solution will take advantage of new technologies such as big data and artificial intelligence to provide a real-time snapshot of how people move around the Autonomous Community, linking this reality to other data related to meteorology or greenhouse gas emissions.
This project, financed with the support of the Next Generation EU Funds, will enable predictions to be made in fifteen minutes, half an hour, 45 minutes and one hour, data which are of enormous value to transport operators, safety authorities and public administrations in charge of mobility infrastructures, as it will allow them to carry out simulations and anticipate. In addition, the MovEuskadi application is being implemented to manage journeys in a quick and easy way.
