The construction consortium of the extension of Line 2 of Toronto Subway to Scarborough, formed by Aecon and FCC Canada Limited, has selected Sener to develop the detailed design for this extension. The execution of the work was awarded to this joint venture by Metrolinx and Infrastructure Ontario, and the contract includes stations, track and project systems.

As the lead engineering firm, Sener will develop the detailed design for the architecture, structures and electromechanical installations, as well as for the geotechnics and station caverns, ventilation systems, electrification, signalling and train control, communications and track, landscaping, and utilities. The company will also be responsible for the integration of all the systems.
