SENDOA project: new intelligent services to reduce climate risk in railways

(25/02/2026)

This initiative seeks to ‘enhance the resilience of railway infrastructures to extreme weather events such as intense rainfall, flooding and heatwaves, which are becoming increasingly frequent as a result of climate change’, according to Saitec. The project uses predictive and digital tools ‘that will help anticipate risks, thereby reducing costs and strengthening the resilience of infrastructure that is critical to society and the economy’. In this context, SENDOA proposes the implementation of three innovative services integrated into a digital GIS platform.
