Naples has hosted the signing of the contract for Lot 2 of Line 10 of the city’s metro system. The awarding of the project to the consortium comprising CAF and the companies AET S.r.l., Francesco Ventura Costruzioni Ferroviarie S.r.l., Mer Mec STE S.r.l. and Leonardo S.p.A. was announced in January 2016.

The contract is valued at €238 million, with options worth up to €630 million. The estimated timeframe is approximately seven months for the detailed design, two years for the construction of the systems and up to five years in total for the supply, testing and commissioning of the trains.
