In this initial phase, there will be three round trips per week. Captrain will be responsible for hauling these trains. Services began on 22 June, running on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays. Hupac has highlighted that ‘the Terminal Barcelona Combiconnect plays a strategic role in the Spanish intermodal market, becoming a rail hub between Spain and the rest of Europe. This enhancement will enable a further increase in capacity, providing greater operational flexibility along the Germany-Spain corridor’.
