This Atlas, now in its seventh edition, presents the state of high-speed rail worldwide in 2025. It includes over 200 pages of data, maps, graphs and tables containing detailed information on infrastructure, operations and trends in this sector.

The Atlas is a report technically developed by the Geography and Railway Traffic Studies Group within the Knowledge Management Department of the Spanish Railway Foundation (Fundación de los Ferrocarriles Españoles), with the collaboration of the UIC Passenger & High Speed Department. The Foundation and the UIC have been carrying out this joint work since 2016, providing a comprehensive overview of high-speed networks across the five continents, including those in service, under construction or planned.
