The Rail4Earth project promotes climate resilience in the rail sector

Acciona is one of the companies and organisations participating in Rail4Earth. This is a European research project aimed at developing and demonstrating new technologies that will contribute to a more sustainable, efficient and resilient rail system in the face of the effects of climate change.

In this project, Acciona will bring its expertise in the design and development of solutions to improve the resilience of rail infrastructure. The company will design and validate an advanced infrastructure monitoring system and develop sustainable mitigation measures to reduce the impact of extreme weather events. The company will also contribute to the development of circular economy solutions by researching new materials with recycled components for rolling stock.
