This service, operated with traction from Medway, is provided with a composition of 20 double wagons, each capable of transporting two semi-trailers. To this end, Tramesa has purchased 35 T4000e type wagons manufactured by the Slovakian company Tatravagónka, while Transitalia has acquired specific P400 type lorry semi-trailers. The operators expect to make around 200 trips a year.

To make this new service possible, a new combined transport terminal at the Port of Valencia has been implemented, allowing lorry semi-trailers to be loaded and unloaded between the road and the railway track.

The new infrastructure has involved an overall investment of 20 million Euros, which has been paid for by Valenciaport, Adif, Transitalia and Tramesa, as well as other collaborating companies.

Traffic. This rolling highway aims to allow more than 10,000 lorries to board the train every year, capturing a substantial part of the road freight traffic between the Port of Valencia and Madrid.
