(29/06/2012)  Metro de Madrid received a group of 50 Korean executives from the Korean Advanced Institute of Science and Technology interested in getting to know how the system facilities operate and are maintained.

During the academic and institutional visit, the Korean executives visited the different areas of the Command Post, located at Alto del Arenal station, from where the power distribution, station electromechanical and electronic, and rail signalling facilities are controlled. The Command Post is always one of the places that arouses most interest.

Peru

A delegation from Lima, Peru’s capital city, headed by different members of Lima Metro’s Operating Department, visited Metro de Madrid in order to get to know its management and maintenance system with regard to the new infrastructure and transport projects that will be developed in the future.

The delegation visited the Command Post, a number of interchanges in the network and the Canillejas facilities, where they were able to tour the central workshops where maintenance of the rolling stock is carried out.
