(29/06/2012)  The new trains that will gradually replace the 3,000 passenger cars of Kazakh Railways (KTZ) are being assembled at the factory in Astana. The consulting firm Lowendalmasaï, specialised in the implementation of international projects and experienced in working in developing countries, was contracted as a strategic partner to design and optimize the supply chain of Talgo’s factory in the city.

The project awarded with the prize allowed an ambitious objective of saving in materials thanks to the involvement of suppliers in low-cost countries close to Kazakhstan and with tradition in the rail industry, such as Russia and China.
