CAF is awarded two train maintenance contracts in Brazil and New Zealand



CAF has been awarded the comprehensive maintenance for the 26 units of Line 5 of the São Paulo Metro for a period of 14 years. In addition, the company has also signed a contract with Auckland One Rail Limited for the provision of engineering services, training, and spare parts for the fleet of 95 electric units.

(18/6/2025) These two new contracts are worth more than €100 million in total. Regarding the Brazil agreement, CAF has entered into a contract with Motiva Group (formerly CCR), the Brazilian concessionaire that operates Line 5 of the São Paulo Metro. This agreement covers 14 years of comprehensive maintenance for the 26 six-car units supplied by CAF in 2011. This work will be carried out at the Capão Redondo and Guido Caloi workshops.
