The deployment of this facial recognition solution will involve the installation of video surveillance cameras within the train station premises for real-time identification of individuals, an automatic alert feature for cases in which security issues are detected, monitoring of the equipment, and a user interface for railway personnel.

Herta expects to have the system fully implemented by the end of this year. In addition to this initial phase in 230 stations, Herta has been awarded the installation of this equipment in two more regions in the north and west of the country.
